The project in brief

The objective of the project is to create a Virtual Youth Academy to bring the transformative power of education to its full force and enable youth organizations and young people to become agents of their desired sustainable, resilience and healthy future.
The project aims to address the needs of both non-formal and formal training to improve competencies, promote learning of new skills, and enhance critical thinking and regeneration awareness in from a local, regional and global perspective.

Partners

The NewRegeneration project is managed by a multinational and multidisciplinary consortium, extending in 10 different countries: 

Mundus (Spain) – Project leader

Mundus is specialised in the field of international mobility and they strive to create a greater future for the youth with the benefits that non formal education provides.

Its mission consists in:

  • Promoting international mobility and international cooperation
  • Fostering Vocational Training
  • Improving youth employability

They help promote international youth mobility and professional training to improve the employability of students, making Europe a work space accessible to all.

ASED Association Solidarite et Echanges pour le developpement (Tunisia) – Project partner

ASED is an autonomous, non-governmental youth organisation whose main aim is to build a new generation of Tunisian youth with new mentalities and new ways of thinking.
ASED has co-organised projects under the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes. Young members of ASED have participated in youth exchanges, seminars, workshops, training sessions and volunteering projects regarding current and sensitive issues of interest and concern for young people.

AFAQ Coconutwork (Morocco) – Project partner
 
AFAQ was founded in 2015 in Morocco. It is a not for profit, non-govеrnmеntal organization that opеratеs on local, national and intеrnational lеvеls. Since May 2019, AFAQ has integrated the pan-European network ‘Coconutwork’.

They believe in youth, to foster the harmony in society and being supported to achieve their fullest potential as aware and global citizens.
Their mission is to empower youth to grow personally, in their careers, and evolve their community.

Al Emad SYL Support Youth Leaders (Jordan) – Project partner

SYL is a Jordanian organization founded in 2015 created to support and development of activities on the local, national and international levels in the area of non-formal education, using free time, cultural-social and volunteering practice for the community of youth people and its alignment to the objectives of the EU Agenda 2030. 

ALDA European Association for Local Democracy (France) – Project partner

ALDA is a French association dedicated to the promotion of good governance and citizen participation at the local level in the European Union, its neighbourhood and beyond.

ALDA is a key stakeholder in the field of local democracyactive citizenship, and cooperation between local authorities and civil society in Europe, its Neighbourhood, and all around the World, mainly acting through participative methods and decentralised cooperation.

Gaia Education (Belgium) – Project partner

Gaia Education is a leading international provider of high-quality sustainability education, aimed at supporting individuals, communities, and organisations in adopting regenerative practices. With courses and projects designed to equip people of all ages and places with the necessary skills and analytical tools, Gaia Education is committed to creating systemic change. In 2022 alone, 2340 learners enrolled in learning opportunities offered by Gaia Education.

Ibn Tofail University (Morocco) – Project partner

The Ibn Tofaïl University, located in the heart of the Maâmora forest, is a multidisciplinary institution (Arts and Humanities, Law, Economics, Management, Letters and Languages, Chemistry, Science and Technology, Business School, and Engineering…). The University distinguishes itself with its rich cultural and educational offerings, including modern infrastructure such as a University Theater with nearly 300 seats and a student cultural passport providing access to several national and international cultural structures spanning five continents. 

Learning by Helping (Spain) – Project partner

Learning By Helping  are a laboratory for social innovation and sustainable development, present in 8 countries across Latin America and Spain.

Through their agency and academy, they create (and teach others how to create) projects with social, environmental, and economic impact. In other words, initiatives that are sustainable over time, that offer real solutions, and that carry that special spark that never goes unnoticed. They design training experiences, innovation processes, and impact projects that align purpose with strategy. Their work has reached around 90 countries and contributed to over 10,000 development and sustainability projects.

Learning Digital (Italy) – Project Partner

Learning Digital offer innovative approaches supporting learning processes in digital environments. They support companies and training providers in the adoption of Microcredentials, by delivering web platforms issuing credentials as NFTs in blockchain, as well as contributes to advance on applied research as member of European Digital Education Hub and related Squad on Microcredentials. In the field of digital skills, they promote learners and teacher training, as well as continuous professional development for trainers, by developing educational resources and blending new technologies in training provisions, in cooperation with the online university of the Italian Ministry of Education.

Metropolitain College (Greece) – Project Partner 

Metropolitan College has campuses in 8 locations throughout Greece:

– Research and Surveys, Training Needs Analysis, Design and Development of Educational Programm, Curricula Implementation. Especially, as a Research Institute, emphasis is placed on promoting research through a number of activities, such as:
– organizing international conferences, research collaborations with institutions from around the world, establishment of research institutes, participation in European research programmes, presentation of our students’ and academics’ work in international research projects and scientific conferences.

Palestine Ahliya University (Palestine) – Project Partner

Palestine Ahliya University (PAU) is a private Higher Education Institution located in the heart of Bethlehem in Palestine. It was established in 2007 by a group of community figures who believe in the real investment in the human capital at higher education through offering distinctive academic programs, impactful and quality research production, solid community engagement, and providing entrepreneurial, smart, and stimulating university milieu. The university envisions an entrepreneurial university distinguished by excellent education, impactful scientific research, and knowledge dissemination to serve Palestinian society, in particular, and humanity. PAU offers educational, research, employability competencies, and community services to students, scholars, and community members in line with the highest national and global standards and aligned with the UN development goals (SDGs) relevant to higher education and community service.

Thinking Academy for Research & Training (Egypt) – Project Partner

Thinking academy for research & training is an educational and research foundation that seeks to qualify youth to bridge the gap between graduates and job market requirements. It offers training courses that aim to self-development, enhancing management skills as well as professional and language skills. It seeks to achieve social entrepreneurship by preparing individuals capable of assuming responsibility and social leadership for a better future. It also endeavors to achieve intellectual entrepreneurship through conducting research, studies and reports specialized in public policies, aimed at providing solutions for chronic society problems and leading to its rise from the trench of the “developing” countries to the “developed” ones. 

University of Sfax (Tunisia) – Project partner

Founded in May 1986, the University of Sfax (US) is a benchmark higher education institution, bringing together prestigious establishments covering a wide range of disciplines. As part of a dynamic of innovation and social responsibility, the University of Sfax stands out for its commitment to providing high-level training and developing cutting-edge scientific research that meets the changing needs of society and the labour market. It works actively to strengthen its socio-economic impact by promoting knowledge transfer and the development of an ecosystem conducive to entrepreneurship and innovation.

With its sights firmly set on the future, the university aims to position itself as a key player in socio-economic, cultural and sustainable development.

Zefiro (Italy) – Project partner 

Zefiro is a social cooperative enterprise established in 2008. It was founded by a young and experienced team enriched by a wide variety of backgrounds; the latter ranged from vocational education to social care to mainstream education. As a social cooperative, Zefiro operates in the social field and in compliance with the principles and values of entrepreneurship and democracy. Zefiro aims to facilitate and to promote social inclusion and sustainability, as well as to advance services to youngsters, adults, women, and other vulnerable/disadvantaged social groups.
